TCI Hub Church Visits
One of our core strategies for thrivingchurches.com is to develop relationships with 25-50 “Hub” churches. Our goal for this first year of launch is 10 Hub Churches. To date we are in conversation with about 15 churches…listing their names here does NOT mean that they have agreed to become Hub Churches with TCI. However, I am SO impressed with their ministries, I just had to share with you so that you could learn more about them.
In the past two weeks, my associate David Harris and/or I have visited the following churches:
New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO is the amazing place that God's healing grace has visited under the ministry of Brady Boyd. Not sure if any other churches have faced a scandal and a shooting, but this church has and has walked with Jesus the whole time. Just attended their pastors/worship conference as well. Praying for Brady, Garvin, Phil, Ross, and their whole team
High Desert Church in Victorville, CA is where Tom Mercer, Jack Hamilton, George Beardsley, Kurt Thielan, and Todd Arnett are the lead team. They have 3 communities (4 planned) with over 8000 evangelical believers. HDC has never fit the typical mold (whatever that is) and when I’m with them, I leave encouraged and strengthened. I love these guys and their ministry and have followed them for over 20 years now.
Eric Bryant is the Executive Pastor of Mosaic Church in LA, leads the Mosaic Alliance, and is a key leader in the Origins Project. With Erwin McManus, Eric has been part of moving Mosaic to a generation impacting role. Our time with Eric was off the charts fun and positive. Eric is a winner and you’ll be hearing more about him in the future.
Heartland Community Church in Rockford, Ill. What can I say? WOW! This church TOTALLY blew us out of the water. Their local outreach, leadership teams, focus on ministry, and story are amazing. We are so excited to be moving towards partnership with them. Oh yeah…and I haven’t said anything yet about MONVEE…more on that later…my prediction? It is the Purpose Driven Life event of spiritual formation for this generation.
NorthCoast Church in Vista, CA is where Larry Osborne has faithfully served and led for over 20 years. Chris Brown and the leadership team met with David and I and we were again AMAZED at their ministry. I thought I knew all about NorthCoast. But, the reality is that I just knew the surface. Even if NorthCoast doesn’t become a hub church…we will go after a strategic alliance with them because I believe in what they are doing.
You should be encouraged friends!
